The army cotton canvas paired with dark brown bridle leather trim has been a cornerstone of the MISMO collection since its introduction in 2008, debuting as our first fabric-and-leather combination when launching the fabric line.
Originally crafted for the Italian military, this tightly woven cotton canvas is still produced in the captivating setting of Costamasnaga, Lecco, near the shores of Lake Como.
Oltrepò Pavese, the setting for these images, is a picturesque triangle of land nestled between the Lombard valley and the Po River, at the crossroads of Piedmont, Liguria, and Emilia Romagna. This region is celebrated for its rolling hills, medieval villages and castles, sweeping panoramic views and authentic Italian cuisine.
We’re excited to partner with digital magazine Gents Café to capture the essence of the army canvas in its native Northern Italian setting.
